This mini-conference offers a couple of talks on various fields of statistics that all contain both a theoretical and a rather applied part.

The aim is to show the impact of real problems in different fields of application on research in mathematical statistics. Questions like the following are addressed: What challenges do we encounter when developing statistical models and methods adapted to concret problems? What difficulties occur when passing from theory to practice? What about robustness of the methods? Or how to obtain interpretable results?
